When I went to university I feel one thing very desperately that I am very weak in communicating my ideas in English specifically.The first few months were very tense as I was always finding appropriate words to speak in class to give the answers of the question asked by the professor. I was always found of reading newspaper but on the hostel cafeteria there was always English newspaper.
Most of my class and hostel mates were graduated from prestigious schools and unfortunately I was not one of them.so this thing forced me to search out the ways to improve myself.I have tried lot of things which I am going to share with you and the most important thing is that all these techniques are absolutely free.
Phase One
- Start reading a English newspaper,one article in one day,if possible keep it will you
- Read it in your leisure time like sitting in bathroom,having dinner or attending a boring lecture :)
- In one day you can read it approximately 5 to 6 times
- Highlight the worlds which are not not know to you
- Try to guess the meaning in the context in which they are written
- Use talking dictionary to know the meaning of the worlds and write down on the article with pencil
- Then read this article again...now all the worlds will be in your mind with their meaning
- Try this for a month, every day different article,after a month you will have collection of around 200 worlds
- Keep all articles with you and keep reviewing them..it will help to refresh your memory
- All you need is one newspaper, pencil and a talking dictionary (American Heritage,Encarta Dictionary are best ) or you can use online dictionary http://dictionary.reference.com/
- Try using the world in all routing discussions. In this way these words become part of your life
Phase 2
- Now you are equipped with 200 words vocabulary so ready to go for phase two
- The only way to be fluent in any language is to speak it
- Listen & watch program of your your choice, there is hell of collection on YouTube or on plane T.V channels like Aljazeera,BBC, CNN.
- This will help you to learn how people use worlds and try to mirror the style of person you are watching.
- Keep above routine for almost 15 days and at least one hour in a day, but don't stop reading articles.
Final Phase
- Now in final phase you have to put all the pieces together you have learned so far...that is to speak and communicate effectively

- Search company of your own choice, dial number form the website directly or dial number through Skype and start talking with the native English speaker from USA free of cost..
- Before making call check local timing, plan your chat agenda and don't ever be nervous if you make mistake...its natural.
- After few talks you will be a good communicator but keep this routine for few months.
- Remember learning Communication is a life long process....so learn it all the time.
- when you learn new world make it your property by the process described in phase one.
